Originating from Malaysia and India, this oil has a rich history and is still used today in potpourris, sachets, and oil burners for its pleasant scent and insect-repelling qualities. In fact, it was once used to protect cashmere shawls from moths during transport to England. Diluted in a base oil, Patchouli Essential Oil is safe for topical use and is often recommended for various skin and scalp issues, as well as to ease anxiety and depression.
